The Business School currently has 70 full-time teachers, among whom 73% hold doctoral degrees from prestigious domestic and international universities such as Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. More than 30% of the full-time teachers in the school have overseas study and further education backgrounds. A number of faculty members have been selected as candidates for the Jiangsu Provincial "333 High-level Talents Project", young and middle-aged academic leaders and backbone teachers under the Jiangsu Provincial "Blue and Green Project", as well as outstanding professional and technical top talents in Suzhou. Many professors serve as members of the think tank for local governments, exerting considerable influence in the industry. Currently, the School has a total enrollment of 2,210 students, including 251 graduate students. Adhering to the philosophy of promoting teaching through scientific research and strengthening the models and approaches to fostering innovative and entrepreneurial talent, the School strives to build distinctive strengths in fostering innovative, entrepreneurial and internationalized talents. It has won numerous high-level awards, including the Gold and Silver Awards at the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Challenge Cup National College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition. Most of its graduates have grown into backbone professionals, with many emerging as pioneering entrepreneurs and leaders in enterprises, public institutions and government departments.
In terms of discipline and program construction, the School offers 6 regular undergraduate programs, namely Business Administration, Tourism Management, Logistics Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Engineering, and Financial Management, along with 1 Sino-foreign cooperative education program in Logistics Management. At the graduate level, it has 4 master's programs: the academic master's program in Management Science and Engineering, and three professional master's programs in Finance, Tourism Management, and Master of Business Administration (MBA). It also boasts 8 Jiangsu Provincial Graduate Student Workstations and enrolls international postgraduate students under the TSP program.The School has established long-term cooperative relationships with more than 10 renowned international universities, including the University of South Wales (UK), Flinders University (Australia), and the University of California, Riverside (USA).
In scientific research, teachers have presided over more than 300 vertical projects and over 200 horizontal projects in recent years, including more than 20 national projects, over 30 provincial and ministerial projects, and more than 300 municipal and departmental projects. They have published over 30 monographs and textbooks, compiled more than 100 research reports, and issued over 300 high-level academic papers indexed by CSSCI, EI, SSCI and Peking University Core Journals. The faculty has won more than 20 awards at provincial and ministerial level or above, and over 30 municipal and departmental awards. A number of research achievements have received affirmative instructions from national, provincial and municipal leaders and been successfully transformed into practical applications.
In terms of research platforms, the School currently has 7 laboratory platforms jointly constructed by central and local governments, including the "Comprehensive Experimental and Training Center for Senior Management Talents in Modern Service Industry", the "Management Information Laboratory", the "Logistics Planning and Supply Chain Management Laboratory", the "Special Laboratory for Postgraduates", as well as the "Suzhou Key Laboratory of Big Data and Information Services", the "Engineering Management Simulation Laboratory", the "Traffic Management Simulation Laboratory". In addition, it has set up 7 research institutions, namely the Southern Jiangsu Modern Logistics Research Institute, Sustainable Development Research Center, Innovation Management and Evaluation Research Institute, Finance Research Institute, Famous City Economy Research Institute, Suzhou National Tourism Standard Research and Promotion Demonstration Center, and Yangtze River Delta High-end Industry Development Research Institute.
